The Right Way To Discharge Capacitor In Switch Mode Power Supplies
Switch mode power supply contain some large filter capacitors that can hold dangerous charges even if the unit has not been used for several days. Typical values of this type of filter capacitor are 220uf 250volt and 330uf 400volt! If you are going to work on the power supply circuits, it’s a good idea to discharge that capacitor first.
There are three ways to discharge the big filter capacitor in a power supply.
1)Discharge it with a screw driver (not recommended).
The reason for not using the screw driver to discharge a capacitor is because
-the printed circuit board or circuitry can be damage due to the spark generated while discharging the high voltage capacitor.
I once blowed the power section using this method. However, if you know that the capacitor stored voltage is not too large, you can easily discharge it with a small screw driver.
-if the capacitor holds a heavier charge of electricity. Discharging the capacitor may melt the tip of the screw driver and the copper on the printed circuit board.
-Sometimes a heavier spark may cause small disintegrated solder lead or copper to fly out from the circuit board and may injured your eyes.
2)Place the leads of a socketed 100 watt electric bulb on the leads of the capacitor.
This method had been used by many technicians around the world for the light bulb will act as an indicator to see if the capacitor still holds the charge. If there is a charge the light bulb will light and after discharged the light bulb will goes off.
3)Place the leads of a high wattage resistor on the leads of the capacitor.
I use a 2.2k ohm 10 watt resistor to discharge the high voltage capacitor in a switch mode power supplies. It is simple to use and very effective .It takes only couple of
seconds to fully discharge the capacitor.
Conclusion
I strongly suggest for those who use screw driver to discharge a capacitor to swift to the second and third method as these is the safest method to protect the circuit and most importantly is yourself.

Pall Mall Liverpool to See New Office Block
Two hundred and twenty five thousand square feet of office space is planned to replace current offices at 30, Pall Mall in Liverpool city centre. It’s family owned, Northern Ireland development firm West Bay Capital who have put forward the eighteen storey proposal, the largest of its kind in Liverpool.
If proposals are passed, the first phase of the £50million project will take two years to complete. The two new office blocks will include a covered courtyard, along with cafes, shops, and restaurants on the ground floor. Broadway Malayan, the Architects who designed the development, say the buildings will be up to standards set for a ‘BREAM Excellent Efficiency’ rating. Making it the “greenest” new office space in Liverpool.
Managing Director for West Bay, Ashley Moore, expressed their delight in the proposals, adding they believe the development could be alongside the United Kingdoms other “Premier business destinations”. Liverpool can become one of the UK’s premier business destinations with quality new office and desk for hire schemes.
The company are hoping their plans will go ahead, and are keen to land the Ministry of Justice contract for Liverpool. Government relocation plans mean the department are looking at office space for 2500 staff, and Moore stated theirs was the single possibility for Liverpool.
The West Bay project being the only development currently meeting the government’s requirements. Moore added, if the contract was given, it would be a “fantastic economic boost” for the city. Funding is believed to be in place, although space will need to be pre-let. But Moore remains confident, and is looking forward “to working with the city’s politicians, and its regeneration and investment agencies”. If given the go ahead, work will be starting by the end of the year.
Dyslexia’s Hard Facts, and How To Learn to Read Despite Them
Struggling with Dyslexia in real terms means finding help for reading difficulties. Medically, dyslexia translates to say that a person who is very smart in most areas and who is provided educational and training resources, still show trouble reading. Being dyslexic cannot at all label an individual is debilitatingly disabled or stupid, but the very opposite! By consensus definition, Dyslexia appears only in intelligent humans and often ingenious people. No matter how and quick {dyslexics may be, they have a hard time reading as children and even adults. A few first signs of dyslexia related reading difficulty include situations such as labored-reading on even phonetically simple common words or a continued struggle learning new words individually, or just faking reading in general. When a reading student isn’t keeping up with other children, dyslexia could very well be a a cause. Dyslexia could contribute to lack of success mastering subjects like math and science So what is the prognosis with Dyslexia? Can a student with dyslexia finally learn how to read easily, and comprehend the encoded symbols she or he encounters? Can a dyslexic adult improve the sub-skills necessary to reading fluency? Yes. Sally Shaywitz, nationally-recognized Dyselxia researcher and co-founder of the fully explains that in the best selling book Overcoming Dyslexia. Even so, there may exist a number of disorders that are associated with reading difficulty. These conditions should be pin-pointed by a talented speech-language pathologist or educational reading assessment.

Reading
“The Bounty of Central Florida” by Valerie Hart
Although Hart’s cookbook incorporates Central Florida’s regional foods, I found that I am able to get the majority of the ingredients in Texas - even Key Limes. I only found one item, Wood Duck, that is solely regional, but Hart gives the option to substitute Quail or Cornish Hen.
Perusing “The Bounty of Central Florida” my attention was drawn to Key Lime Cheesecake. It is rich, but light, and full of flavor. The Pecan Crust makes an ideal base for this cheesecake. The Best Flaky Pie Crust is short and browns well, however, makes a larger batch than indicated. For brunch, the Low Fat Blueberry Coffee Cake is ideal and goes well with a freshly brewed cup of coffee. The Chiffon Cake took be me back to my childhood when my mother made one for every Sunday. Rich and creamy is the Hollandaise Sauce and very easy because it’s made in a blender giving it a guaranteed smooth texture.
“The Bounty of Central Florida” has easy step-by-step directions to follow and majority of the ingredients can be found in most kitchens. The pages are glossy and easy to wipe and the center has wonderful colored photos of many of the dishes. “The Bounty of Central Florida” is a must for anyone who enjoys simple cooking with an elegant flare.

What You Should Know About Bankruptcy

Filing bankruptcy is not only a last resort legal action; it is also a very complicated legal action that definitely needs the expertise of a lawyer. When thinking about bankruptcy, you first need to decide if bankruptcy is right for you. If it is, then you need the help of an attorney to decide which type of bankruptcy is required for your particular situation.
The decision to file bankruptcy can be brought on by many different circumstances. The most common circumstances are divorce, medical hardships and credit card troubles. In cases of divorce, bankruptcy is often inevitable. The sudden change in financial level and the added burden of court costs, extra expenses and child support often cause one or both parties to get behind on their financial obligations.
In the case of medical hardships, high medical bills can sometimes overburden people even if they have insurance. This is even more likely to happen if the person experiencing the medical emergency is also the family breadwinner.
The most common case of financial hardship is incredibly high credit card balances. After carrying numerous high credit balances for a certain period of time, many people find themselves unable to make anything but the minimum payment and sometimes not even being able to make that. Then, when the high interest rates are added in, people find themselves in a situation where repayment is often impossible.
Whether your situation arose from one of the above financial problems or not, sometimes bankruptcy is the only answer to your monetary problems. Once you have decided that bankruptcy is the answer for you, you will need to enlist the services of a lawyer to decide which type of bankruptcy to file and to help you navigate the many complex bankruptcy laws and regulations.
There are four main types of bankruptcy, Chapter 7, Chapter 13, Chapter 11 and Chapter 12. Chapter 7 is the most common form and can be used by businesses and individuals. Chapter 13 is the second most common form, but it limited to use by individuals only.
In a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, a debtor’s property is divided into to categories, exempt and non-exempt. Exempt properties include things that the debtor will be allowed to keep like their home and automobile. In the case of exempt properties, the debtor is allowed to keep them as long as he or she continues to pay for them. If a person cannot continue to make payments, the owner of the loan may repossess the property, even after a bankruptcy has been finalized. Any non-exempt or unsecured property will be sold to cover the debtor’s financial obligations. Debts such as credit card debts and medical bills can be written off with this type of bankruptcy, but other debts like school loans and taxes cannot be.
In Chapter 13 bankruptcy, the debtor is required to come up with a way to repay his or her debts, but these debts usually do not have to be repaid in full. In most cases, a creditor will agree to take a small percentage of the owed debt as opposed to losing all repayment all together. This form of bankruptcy is preferable for those individuals that wish to keep all of their possessions and just need a chance to catch up on their financial obligations. It does not, however, excuse a debtor from priority debts like taxes and child support.
In order to qualify for Chapter 13 bankruptcy, an individual must have a yearly income level that allows for repayment of each of his debts within three to five years. After three to five years of consistent repayment, the debtor’s obligations are released.
After you have researched bankruptcy and decided that it is right for you, you need to contact an attorney that specializes in bankruptcy to help assure that you follow all legal guidelines and are protected from further collection activity.

Inside View On Printers
Printers have certainly come a long way since the inception of the character and and dot matrix printers.
These ancient products (ancient in technical terms being as few as 10-15 years) were what are known as impact printers, simply because they needed to make a physical connection with the paper in order to achieve the ink-on-paper result.
Dot matrix printers came equipped with a group of pins that touched a ribbon which then connected with paper to produce the finished product. Character printers, which worked on the same principle as electric typewriters, used a bar or ball whose surface was embossed with all the characters you now see on any keyboard. These characters made contact with the ribbon, which in turn made contact with the paper.
Today we use non-impact printers - those that do not make physical contact with the paper to create the papered reproduction. The most prevalent for home or small office use is the inkjet printer - an economical choice for all but the most serious graphic arts requirements.
An inkjet printer produces the images and type it delivers from computer to paper by means of miniscule drops of ink. So miniscule, in fact, that a human hair would seem big by comparison. Standard ink drops of an inkjet printer have a diameter range of 50-60 microns. Arranged very precisely, these ink drops come in various resolutions (the higher the resolution, the clearer and more life like the output.) while 800×600 dpi (dots per inch) is a typical SOHO (small office home office) resolution producing quite adequate print quality, an inkjet printer can offer resolutions as high as 1440×720 dpi. Adding color to the mix can produce images nearly as high in quality as a laser printer product.
There are five basic parts to an inkjet printer: the print head assembly, the paper feed assembly, circuitry control, power supply, and printer ports.
The print head assembly is the heart of the printer workings. It’s what brings the ink to paper by means of a row of nozzles. The print head may be part of the inner workings of a printer cartridge, or they may be separate parts. Cartridges are responsible for delivering color and shading. Most inkjet printers made nowadays offer color printing. Some may require as many as three distinct cartridges, but generally at least two - one black, one color. The motor is part of the print head assembly as well. It’s the part that enables the ink and cartridges to move across the paper and produce the hard copy. It also keeps the cartridge stable when not in use.
The paper feed assembly includes the paper tray, which holds the paper ready for a printing request, and the rollers, which deliver the paper to the ink when a printing job is requested.
The power supply is simple - it’s what gets the electricity to your printer so that it can do its job. Printer circuitry controls take the message from your keyboard and mouse and deliver it to the printer so that the requested hard copy can be produced. Printer ports, also referred to as interface ports, much like a telephone jack, enable the peripheral (the printer) to talk to the computer. While in older models parallel ports were the norm, the newest printer models connect via USB ports, which require a special USB cord.

Internet Marketing Thing Is worth it!
I recently finished an Info product and in it, I touched on why Internet Marketing is one of the best careers a person can possibly have. There’s no boss, no set hours and you can make an unlimited amount of money, among other reasons.
Can Internet Marketing be very stressful? Yes, it can be for some people, but the stress of being a stock broker or being a Doctor can be tremendous. If you’re a stock broker you have people’s livelihoods in your hands and it is very dependent on your actions and the stock market is completely out of your hands. If you’re a doctor you have people’s lives in your hands, it’s pretty tough to get any more stressful than that.
When people are all stressed out about creating a website or writing a product. Just put it into perspective. Compare it to the stresses of other jobs and it’s really nothing to stress about.
Yes, dealing with people online can be stressful, but compare that to dealing with people in other ways. Think about dealing with customers on the phone. I would rather have someone type in all caps that they are mad at me as opposed to be yelled at over the phone.
I used to work in sales for Best Buy when I first got out of college and I worked right around Christmas. I remember feeling so sorry for the people who handle customer service.
Here are some people that just take abuse from people. A lot of times it wasn’t even their fault. They don’t make the products, they don’t decide the prices etc. and yet they are taking a verbal beating from people. I heard some people tell them things that if I were them, I would of probably rung their neck, haha.
People that are negative about Internet Marketing are either clueless or just venting. Don’t let people like that get you down. I always say that you should surround yourself with positive and successful people.
Now, I do talk to plenty of people that aren’t making any money online, but that’s usually just to help them out. The people that are my online friends are all successful marketers. Not only do I get to interact and learn from them, I also get great advice on what works for them. It also keeps me positive and upbeat.
Everything College Students Should Understand about Medical Insurance Plans
It is easy to forget about health insurance while planning a college career. More Often Than Not, health insurance is the last thing on a student’s mind. Younger people are wont to suppose they are immortal and that they will not suffer from an illness.
Regrettably, regardless of how well an individual may appear there is no way to anticipate their continuing good health. A health insurance policy isn’t only a luxury, it is absolutely essential.
For individuals who are covered under their parent’s insurance policy, most family policies will extend to a college student until they turn twenty three. For students who don’t currently have cover via a family insurance, exploring an appropriate student health insurance policy has to be an important part of budgeting for a further education.
What must a student look for in medical insurance aimed at college students? Deductibles: This is an annual payment made before any health benefits start, the same as an auto deductible. To illustrate, if your deductible is 500 dollars, five hundred dollars has to be paid prior to getting any financial benefits from your plan. What is your co-pay? Once you meet your deductible, most plans ask that you pay a percentage of the cost of every trip to the doctor, medication or operation. That, put simply is a co-pay. What should the insurance extend to? Most plans are HMO or PPA. This can mean particular specialists might not be in your “network” and might not be covered on the insurance policy. Most policies should provide a directory of approved professionals, so be sure you take this into consideration when selecting health insurance.
Catastrophic insurance coverage: There is frequently a restriction on student health insurance plans particularly with reference to critical illness, in most student insurance policies, it is in general substantially lower than a regular health insurance plan.
So what about the limitations? Limits are very commonplace in many college student medical insurance. It’s important to study the insurance policy carefully to discover exactly what is and isn’t covered in any insurance policy.
Keep any medical insurance papers safe at all times. It’s not only not possible to anticipate accidents or illness, they’re also likely to hit at the worst possible time. Familiarize yourself with the ins and outs unique to your plan, whether you are covered by your parents or with your own choice of insurance.
